Turning Wind Academic Institute provides is a therapeutic boarding school program for at-risk teens, from ages twelve to eighteen.
The school is located in beautiful Troy, Montana and provides specialized assistance for teens experiencing behavorial or academic issues.
The school focuses on the areas of modifications, emotional well-being and academic success.
Turning Winds has a very favorable student-staff ratio and uses therapeutic educational curriculum. To ensure that no child falls through the cracks, Turning Winds only enrolls up to fifty-five students at one time.

Troy, MT – Turning Winds Academic Institute, a therapeutic boarding school for struggling teenagers, ages 12-18, is pleased to announce an addition to its alternative energy program, with the installation of nine 12′x16′ solar panels at its northwestern Montana location. The new panels are capable of supplying 100% of the power for the entire campus for 7-8 months out of the year and will provide a non-polluting power resource for its 150 acre campus.
“This renewable energy solution will greatly benefit our school going forward,” said Owen Baisden, vice president of operations for Turning Winds Academic Institute.
“In addition to helping the environment, it’s also a cost-effective measure with advantages that are far-reaching,” he added.
